These are darkroom prints from my holiday to kefalonia. They are very different from the scanned negatives which are in another album. Ive cropped them a bit in the enlarger and exposed them through a number 5 filter for the high contrast, nothing like my usual look but I'm very happy with the outcome.

@captainfantastic thanks Jakob. I was really happy with these. Printing for high contrast is so different to tweaking the levels in gimp!

Great look, what was the paper?

@malcolm_tremain thanks, it was kentmere paper, some old stock, 6 1/2"x 8 1/2". I really like the high contrast, and the pronounced grain I get with the half frame format. One thing that I've learnt from my darkroom sessions is that my artier low contrast, under exposed stuff is a pain to print so from now on I've got to bear that in mind when choosing my exposures!

Yeah, printing from heavy negs is a pain but the results can be worth it. Have you tried split grade printing?
