Santa Monica Pier

1

L.A. is Hollywood, is Bel Air, is Downtown, is the beach of Santa Monica, is Michael Jackson and is the Pier. After all, this piece of bridge in the Pacific is the absolute culmination of what LA represents. Basically, it’s all about fun and relaxation.

The pier is located on the famous beach of Santa Monica and offers several restaurants, an aquarium, an artist-school, shops, and amusement rides. With a flat rate ticket, you can be there and keep the fun going with the whole family all day. This would help things run smoothly if I had three kids or something like that. Interesting: At the end of the pier, dozens of fishermen are preoccupied with their rods and fish. And I bet for many, the spoils are an important addition to their daily diet. If you would prefer a precooked meal, then you should stop off in the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant. The film lover in every Lomographer will recognize the movie quote. And in fact: parts of Forrest Gump were shot here! (The restaurant is part of the production company of the blockbuster). Basically, there are, as in all of LA, many entertainers who present themselves singing, dancing or acting. And not bad, quality is really what is being presented. This year, the pier will be a measly one hundred years old. So you can expect a lot of festivities in the fall, at which time it would be a good idea to come by.
