Majestueuze LomoChrome Purple shots, door onze Social Media Testers

Omdat LomoChrome Purple zo'n unieke film is, zijn we altijd nieuwsgierig en enthousiast om te zien wat je ermee kunt bedenken. Nu zijn we terug met drie fotografen die ons verbluft hebben met hun paars getinte visioenen. Even kijken!

Muzzy Stardust

Muzzy Stardust is een artiest uit Gdańsk, Polen. Toen we vroegen naar haar creatieve visie, zei ze dat het is om een magische wereld te creëren door middel van haar kunst. "I make photographs, music, and design clothes (Fantasia Superstar). Art is what makes me truly happy." Haar obsessie met het tijdperk van de psychedelische jaren 60 tot 70 maakt de LomoChrome Purple een perfecte film om uit te proberen! Dit zijn haar gedachten over de film.

"I love my art to be surreal, dream-like, super-colorful so I was excited to shoot with LomoPurple. I was really blown away with the results, the film is absolutely one of a kind. For this shoot, I used a Mamiya 645, Mamiya/Secor 55mm with FOG A-HOYA filter. To future shooters of LomoChrome Purple film, I would suggest playing with different light, cameras, backgrounds. Your art should make you happy so just have fun!"

Edward Conde

Uit de City of Angels, Edward Conde is een Lomograaf die de straten van Los Angeles en zijn reizen documenteert en Lomography graag promoot aan iedereen die wil luisteren! Hij host ook twee podcasts, beide beschikbaar op iTunes: Grainy Dayz Podcast en Ultra-Low ISO Club Podcast.

Fotograferen met de LomoChrome Purple deed hem denken aan de kleuren die hij fotografeerde - zoals hoe de film groen, rood, blauw en andere kleuren in de scène zou veranderen. "With the other Color Negative films being “normal” I normally never take the palette of colors in a scene into consideration. So the purple made me think a little bit."

Edward gebruikte zijn Lomo LC-Wide met het vierkante masker in deze fotoset en speelde met het ISO-bereik tussen 100 en 400. "I have been shooting my LC-Wide with the half frame mask religiously for over a year and have fallen in love with it. So I decided to give the square mask a try and see how things look. So far I am digging the look with the square mask. The versatility of the LC-Wide is amazing. It is like carrying 3 cameras in one body! "

Tot slot deelt Edward een tip voor toekomstige LomoChrome Purple-gebruikers: "Don’t think just shoot! HAHA. Take your time and experiment. Look for colors in a scene and you will be happily surprised with the results. Most importantly, have fun with the film!"

Elisabeth Dare

Elisabeth Dare is een nomadische analoge fotograaf, US National Park Ranger, en beeldend kunstenaar uit Seattle, Washington. De onvolmaakte, organische kwaliteit van film trekt haar aan om analoog te fotograferen. Omdat ze het grootste deel van haar tijd diep in de bossen van de Pacific Northwest doorbrengt, is ze enorm geïnspireerd door "the magic of nature and small, dusty towns in this part of the US."

We vroegen naar haar ervaring met het fotograferen van de LomoChrome Purple. "The colors produced by Lomochrome Purple are unmatchable. I particularly love the contrast between deep purples and the turquoises that the film produces. Shot at 400 it produced nice grain that I really like as well."

"These two images are my favorites. The first demonstrates how much color change there is in a deep green image- I love the saturation. The second really shows how nice the film works even indoors with very low light. Beautiful contrast."
