Big City Girl: A Gallery of Images by Alina Rudya

Check out a gallery of introspective photographs by Ukranian-born and German-based photographer Alina Rudya.

We recently published an interview with Ukranian-born photographer Alina Rudya. Alina studied photography in Berlin, and now resides and works in the German capital.

Alina grew up with Kievs and Zeniths, and now uses a Holga, Lubitel, Agfa Clack, an occasional Hasselblad, a couple of Nikons, and an Olympus mju ii. One of her projects, Big City Girl, a collective of introspective images, was shot using the award-winning, limited edition 35mm camera from Olympus.

Alina was kind enough to share photos from this project with Lomography Magazine. Here they are, for your viewing pleasure.

In her own words, Big City Girl is a “depiction of self as a suburban girl, based on Eastern-European stereotypes about women.”
