Meet Our Holiday LomoAmigo Stouf!
20 29 Share TweetFor our special Holiday LomoAmigo edition, we re-introduce you to one of the community’s most popular Lomographers – Stouf! Let’s find out what his plans are for the Holidays, and his favorite year-end memory …
Could you begin by telling us a little about yourself – Maybe an interesting fact people might not know about you?
You can find a few answers to this question in my interview by eggzakly. Something that people might not know about me? I drink too much coffee. Ho sorry you said interesting.
How long have you been into Lomography and how did you discover it?
I opened my account on the old Lomography website, sometime around 2006 I think, after reading The world through a plastic lens. I’ve been shooting film since the age of 15, so around 1995. Damn’ that just reminded me that I’m not 15 anymore.
What are your plans for the winter holidays?
I recently moved to Hobart (Tasmania), and it will be summer down here. It’s so weird to see Santa Klaus in the street, sweating under the blazing sun… Anyway, yes I have plans for December-January. Something incredible. I’ll be gone for 6 weeks. And those who know me might have an idea of what’s coming, but as a superstitious seaman I’d rather not talk about it before it happened :) I already feel I gave you too many clues.
I’m very late in my processing/scanning, but here are a few first shots of Tasmania:
Any New Year’s resolutions for 2012?
Quit smoking for the fourth time?
If you could recommend one movie and one song to everyone, what would they be?
Hooo tough one. Let’s say that with my mood of today, I’d watch The Darjeeling Limited and listen to Tokyo by The Books.
What’s your favorite analogue camera to shoot with?
HA! Well, a few months ago I would have said that I loved all my cameras for each of their particularities. But since I got a Holga 120 Pan, things have changed. Here are my first two rolls, and I can already see all the satisfaction this analogue beast is going to bring me. Note: the two last shots were only to test the wide-angle and fisheye Holga lens adaptors. Not very convincing.
What’s the next camera you’d like to get your hands on?
I just got a Lomokino and I’m quite excited about it. But I’d like a Lomokino 2.0 with a battery-operated winder. With an adjustable speed, from 10 frames per second to 1 frame per 10 minute. I can give you my address if you want to send me one. No problem.
What’s your favorite memory from this year?
Getting a PhD was quite something.
And now for the toughest question – What’s been your favorite photo from the past year?
Maybe this one?
