Dr Robert's Surgery & Residence, High Street

This unique building is just around the corner from where I live. Ever since I moved into the area I have been fascinated by its peculiar design and puzzled to what it’s originally purpose was.
Although Dr Robert didn't run his medical practice here, in the days of the Kensington village, the building was home to the local pharmacist. The street facing door and window are the shop front to the medical dispensary.
Like many of the historical properties in my neighborhood, the building has been preserved and converted for residential use.

Very good, nicely composed and a great exposure.

    Thank you!
As these images have been captured using one of the Pen ‘Electric Eye’ models (EES), it is very much Professor Olympus who should take credit for the exposure! That said this camera had the common ‘sticky aperture blade’ problem of which I finally got around to rectifying.
For those wishing to perform the operation themselves, the link to the YouTube video below is a great resource.

As far as the composition goes, Yoshihisa Maitani did a truly awesome job designing the Pen series cameras. It is very easy to get pleasing results just by pressing the shutter release button.

@eyeseaimages my pen had the same problem when I got it, just a gentle poke was enough to free it up, hasn't given any trouble since!
