No more war! - „See the end of the world…“ Nie wieder Krieg!
Das amerikanische Schiff Richard Montgomery transportierte 1944 etwa 7000 Tonnen Munition über den Atlantik und lief in der Themse-Mündung in England an einer Untiefe vor Sheerness auf Grund. Da das Schiff auseinanderbrach und die Laderäume mit Wasser vollliefen, konnte die Ladung nicht komplett geborgen werden. Es befinden sich seit dem immer noch rund 1400 Tonnen bzw. ca. 10.000 Bomben an Bord. Das Schiff liegt in Sichtweite zur Hafenstadt und stellt aufgrund der Explosionsgefahr eine permanente Bedrohung dar.
