My last trip in 2021 took me in december to Ghana. I had been there before, on my Stretched Terrain journey (link below) but this time it was a bit different. I came out of a tiring year and when I arrived not much of my assignment was organized, which was communicated before. So the first days were very slow, sleeping and organizing shootings. Normally I would have been more out and photographed more, but different trips different energy. I had a good time, though. Among various things I visited the cultural venue of Apam, which was almost entirely built with bamboo. The curator is Kojo, who calls himself just black! This roll of Kodak 400 has been in my Olympus XA, a camera which I routinely keep in my jacket pocket, but don't use as much as I should. Decided to try processing the film with an alternative process. This time it was stand development -- 2 hrs in Rodinal 1+100.
Very much a test roll. Ordinary Kodak Color Plus, shot at a variety of different ISO settings, between 100 and 1600 and stand developed in rodinal for 2 hrs. Clearly, I should have used a bit more solution!
An old roll of film shot on Ilford FP4 (20 Exposures) so 1968 - Early 70s possible - looking at age of cars. They were taken on a Kodak Retina 1a and this film was left in there until I bought it last year. I developed them in Rodinal (60mins) with minimal agitation.
