Tiede Observatory at Dusk
Having watched the sun drift through the sea-blue sky & settle down behind Mount Teide for the night, we headed back to the coach to be taken to a dark corner of the park where the tour guide would proceed to use a high-power laser pointer to deliver a talk on the stars & the constellations they comprise. The now cherry blossom sky bathed the Teide national park in a warm Spanish pink haze. This created a stunning backdrop to the Teide observatory & I couldn't help but take a snap. (Clearly this is woefully underexposed and I now realise I should have taken a tripod & long exposure cable.... I guess this is what happens when you don't touch a camera for years on end).
