Drink responsibly kids! Else your Lomographs will suffer.
A friend and I embarked on a road trip to visit another friend at York University for the weekend. We’d planned on some sight seeing, shooting some pictures, maybe a little partying too.
On the Saturday night the students from the block we were staying in decided to get together for drinks and it wasn't too long till a drinking game was proposed. Now drinking games are all well and good when you know the rules but when you don't... well you end up drinking A LOT. After five minutes I had broken every rule and lost every challenge, so I'd ended up consuming a dangerous amount of alcohol in a very short amount of time. Needless to say I didn't remain conscious for very long, but in the short time I had I was determined to document the evening with my beloved LCA instant. Hilariously I couldn’t even put the thing together! No matter how hard I tried, the correction lens just wouldn’t fit in place. But my determination paid off and I managed to get the thing together.
As you can see from the photo I didn’t really succeed. It was only in the morning that I discovered that I had put the instant back on the camera body first and then tried to fit the lens into the instant back. I was a little disappointed that the images hadn’t come out properly (I hadn’t noticed before this point) but looking back I can’t think of a better way to have documented the night. :)
