The New Lomography Embassy Store Lisbon
7 7 Share TweetRemember the invitation to the opening of the brand new Embassy Store Lisbon?
Well, after the opening on 2nd of July with about 500 curious (soon-to-be) lomographers, everyone has recovered from the party by now. Get ready for a full analogue view on this great shop which you shouldn’t miss on on your next trip to Lisbon (and is even worth to plan an extra trip there).
After years in Bairro Alto, the Lomographic Embassy Lisbon got a new home, moved down town to BAIXA where the city is filled again with artistic & vibrant charm, with old and new commerce, trendy and modern shops, galleries and museums.
Our opening on the 2nd of July was a successful gathering of our lomographic community, artists and architects who were welcoming us as new “partners” in Baixa and the curious that go to everything that happens in the area.
The Embassy shop with around 70 sqm including a lounge area and gallery space is exactly what the Portugese community was looking forward to! Natalie Zwillinger was the first lomographer to put her fabulous work up in the wall and definitely not the last! The photo exhibition, dealing with the topic “Auschwitz”, is still on display until end of September.
The intention is to show lomographic work every two months and do workshops on a weekly basis from September on.
More than anything this new house of the Lomographic Embassy in Lisbon is a reward to all our very active lomographers that have been supporting and following us for the past ten years! Thank you!
