Give Your Film Soup A Theme

3

There are a lot of great film soup recipes on the internet and they all yield great results. Unfortunately, they are often just random blends of things you have at home. What if you thought about what you put in your soup instead of aimlessly mixing those detergents and sodas? What if you make the ingredients part of your photos?

For example: When I was on vacation in a town next to a lake I brought a little disposable camera. Before shooting it I drowned it in this particular lake and then took photos on and around the lake with it. And that's it, I had my own thematic film soup photos!

Why don't you try it yourself? Just dunk your film in something related to the subject you want to shoot. Going to a dairy farm? Let your film soak in milk! Taking your camera to a drinking spree with your friends? Bathe it in some beer! Just let your imagination run wild!

@metobi: I understand, but then you have to pull out the whole film in complete darkness to dry it, right ?
