Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

Nothing special: I am a seller in the bookstore chain and I work in this place around month. Before that I worked in the Lomography Embassy Moscow.

Fyodor is a pretty brilliant Lomographer, too!

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

Magic, short, old-school, cheap, inspiring

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

I like expired and very cheap films. In Russia, we have a large number of expired films.

Timka

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

Only myself. When I heard about it, just decided that I’ll buy it.

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

When I took a few clips and put it to the net, I was approached by two of my friends. The first one asked me to shoot a music video for the radical band, which is constantly held up at the “March of Dissent” in Moscow. The second friend asked me again to shoot a video for the band. It is a pity that the projects have not developed.

Red Kvadrat

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

Hunter S. Thompson, of course. In my opinion, Hunter is the most amazing man on earth.

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

Honestly, I do not watch other videos. I have no free time. But I really like black and white and melancholic movies.

Windows

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I would like to shoot a remake of “La Jetée” with the Lomokino. This is one of my favorite movies.

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

Learn how to build a frame with the LomoKino. That with the LomoKino everything is out well, and that – not much. If you do this, you will understand the beauty of this camera and also learn its weaknesses.
