I had the best viw in the Koryo Hotel in Pyongyang and captured a few stages of the Korean Dawn. Later we visited the monumental cemetery of heroes on the highest elevation point of Pyongyang. The wife of Kim il Sung, Mother to the late Kim Jong Il and many of the heroic generals and officers from the Korean War have their own statue on the hill.

The building Italy, as you can translate it, ist he second largest building in town. I wonder what offices are all stuffed into these 44 floors. As I know of at least the Circolo Italiano Foundation, which is something like the Bitish Council or the Centre Culturel Français . And there is a restaurant on the top floor, which you will steer to straight away. Because on its platform you can go on a roundabout terace for taking pictures. There is a „happy hour“ around 4 o'clock midday in which you can access the terrace for free. Elsewhise you gotta pay, if I remember right 15 reais, which is about 6 Euro, quite reasonable. And interesting enough it is not a major touristy spot, Alongside to me there were only two couples taking pictures, so it’s a very worthwile place to discover. I spent quite some time up there, waiting for the light to come and go. For trying various cameras and films and just watching the scenery. Sometimes you see some helicopters passing by. Which is a common mean of transport for the upper class. Arguably but comprehensible, it is surely safer for the rich not to cross through streets on their way home. And seeing such an landscape everday on your way to work is truely worth the fortune you are spending on it. You can also see pools on top of skyscrapers and the world famous Edifico Copan by Oskar Niemeyer. There are buses going the Italian building, but it surely is a good choice to take a taxi-cab from a crossing point of the public transport.
