Coming all the way from Spain, it was an easy task for David to fall in love with the LomoKino. With this he never stops brainstorming ideas for more analogue movies to be produced on his hands. Come and know more about this week’s Community LomoKino LomoAmigo.

Full Name: David Cruz Pous
Lomography Username: davidcruzpous
Location: Granollers, Barcelona, Spain

Tell us about yourself. What do you do for a living? What are your interests?

Hello. I am a restless boy who tries to be a firefighter. During the summer I work as an assistant firefighter and during the winter i work in a bookshop. But throughout the year, I experience and enjoy photography.

How long have you been a Lomographer and how did you find out about the Community?

I started with the discovery of the Holga. I was captivated by the fact that it is a medium format camera which is easy to use. That was about 6 years ago. Then, after a workshop with the Spain Lomo Ambassador I saw that there are a lot of people doing the same as I am and that they share it on the web.

Describe the LomoKino in five words.

It’s an unpredictable simple box, simple, brief, analogue, and authentic.

How did you like shooting with the LomoKino?

I really like black and white movies. Like twenties movies.

What or who has inspired you to purchase and use the LomoKino?

I was inspired that you can explain so many things in a short time. Simplifying a good idea can go you far.

Any funny or strange encounters you’ve had with it?

Yes. At a party with many people i wanted to make a video, but the people did not believe that it was a video camera.

If you could shoot any person alive or dead (or imaginary) with your LomoKino, who would it be and why?

I’d really like to record Charlie Chaplin. In black and white, of course.

Kindly share to us any LomoKino movie you love the most.

My first one: Walk

And here’s another one: People

Any future plans with your LomoKino? More shoots or a full-length film perhaps?

I want to go on testing and experimenting. I think there is much juice in these little box to extract.

Your advice to future LomoKino users.

Just organization, patience, and good ideas! LomoKino on!

Enter a new analogue dimension with the LomoKino. Lomography’s own 35mm analogue movie camera allows you to capture action and immortalize your story on film! Shoot 144 frames on any 35mm film and create your own cinematic masterpieces. Want to watch your movie the old-school way? We also offer the LomoKino and LomoKinoscope package!
