@sadiestoker "Via Appia" is the name of the ancient road. It connected city of Rome with south Italy. "Quo vadis, domine?" means "Where are you walking, my Lord?" it's famous quote from old Christian legend about st. Peter. he was trying to escape Rome because emperor Nero wanted to kill him and all the Christians. while he was walking on Via Appia he had this revelation: he met Jesus Christ and asked him "Quo vadis, domine?" and he told him that he's going to Rome to get crucified again since he (st. Peter) is escaping and leaving all Christians behind. this changed st. Peters mind and he returned to Rome and got crucified for his faith.
