Mamiya C220: An Analogue Giant
written by mattcharnock on 2009-08-29 #gearIf my house was on fire and I had to save one thing (other than my wife and child, as they do slightly trump everything) then I am about 99% sure it would be my Millennium Falcon from when I was a kid. If I could save two things then the second would be my Mamiya C220.

WOCA 120G
written by altprocess on 2009-02-08 #gearThe WOCA 120G is a discontinued glass lens Holga. It is similar to the Holga 120S in every way except that it has a very inexpensive glass lens. In theory the glass lens should make the images slightly sharper, at least in the middle. Like the original Holga 120S, the WOCA has only one shutter speed, (approximately 1/100th) and only one f/stop at roughly f/8. It uses 120 film and can be adapted, like any other Holga, to shoot 35mm film. Some Holga enthusists shudder (or is that shutter?) at the idea of a glass lens. Yet, at the same time, it is closer to original Holga than the current 120N model, or any of its variants.

Widepan Pro II - The Panoramic Monster
written by lomodirk on 2008-11-12 #gear„What the f...?“ is the most common reaction of people I know. People I don`t know start to lapse in an everlasting gaze when they see this kind of monster. Sometimes I was asked if I am some kind of topographer and when you tell people that this is „just“ a camera follows the everlasting gaze again.
