Feel the fire, he's entering the ring

Pushed to 1600 ISO, HP5+ looks much better than Delta 3200 rated at 1600 shot under the exact same lighting conditions. Even though the latter is supposed to handle that speed better. It speaks volume, not against Delta 3200 which isn't a bad film at all but in favor of HP5+, which looks a lot sharper, has a tighter grain and better contrast. At 400, HP5+ is crisp, it makes powerful statements. I'm very fond of all the Ilford films. I especially love equally all the 400 ISO films but HP5+ is more versatile, easier to use and a tad bit cheaper than both Delta 400 and XP2 Super. It's the film I would choose to bring with me on a desert island because it can do it all (depending on how you rate it and process it) and it can do it all well
