«Under the mitten» / «Под Варежкой»

In Yekaterinburg, in the Railway Square is a monument to the soldiers of the Urals Volunteer Tank Corps.
It was installed in 1962 (sculptors V. M. Druzin and P. A. Sazhin, architect. G. I. Belyankin)
Old worker admonishes the young warrior-tanker at the feat. And they stand on the pedestal, the outlines of which resemble a tank.
The official name of the monument locals cut on the national mood and turned out - "Under the mitten."
So small accessory has become more important than the monument itself.
To gather under the mitten, is like to sit before leaving home.
