The mask

This is the homemade mask I taped into the back of my Sprocket Rocket. This is the first time I tried a mask in a Rocket. It's unlikely to be my last — unless God strikes me down for my atheism, of course ;-)

@mackeylee: In photography, a mask can be defined as anything "used to selectively obscure or hold back parts of an image while allowing other parts to show." They're sometimes placed in front of the lens or, as here (and in many other of my albums), placed in the back of the camera between the lens and the film. This one is made by printing the chosen image onto transparency film (e.g. as used for overhead projectors), cutting it to size and taping it into the camera. It's fun experimental stuff and has no creative limits...! Thanks for your interest.

Ahhh.... When you said 'the back of the camera', I thought you meant behind the film - Which confused me! Thank you for the clarification, most interesting.
