I've been taking all the basics (how to take good portraits, how to use masks, double exposures, lighting, etc) I've learned over the years and consciously trying to train myself to change my style, which is really really hard when you've been accustomed to doing one specific thing. I'm doing this because I'm trying to be swim against the current at least when it comes to photography and because I want to grow as a photographer. Five years from now, I don't want to be the same photographer doing the same things. // The last two albums I've published so far have gotten mixed reviews from people but to me, those results are a step forward to the direction I'm trying to take. // This album is a little less strange than the last one and didn't really turn out the way I pictured it in my head - I had meant for the swirls and stars of the nebula to impose over the silhouettes, not over the plain white background. I don't know how they ended up this way but I don't care. This is another step in the right direction so I am happy. Besides, I am having so much fun! xo
