bauhaus archiv - failed experiment

even though some shots are really nice all of them are not like they are supposed to be.
on two or three of them you might see or think that they are out of focus but in fact all of them are doubles but the first layer isn´t really visible. my plan was to shoot a first flower layer with a makro lens and then buildings. what happened is that the buildings are fine but the flowers are not. i have to ask @kleeblatt for the makro shots…

@aanum: thanks! well, they look good i think but i meant "fail" in matters of what i was doing and expecting what they should to some degree look like. the makro-flower shots aren´t visible at all and therefore i said this failed.

Love this album! As you said, the flowers are not visible, but you definitely put an extra dimension to the buildings! Love the result!

maybe the close-up lens had stopped too much light. Then, the flowers are underexposed in comparison with the wonderful views of the buildings on a sunny day? Anyways, I like the results. Holga is not an easy camera but gives so great results. My project is photographying my town (Montpellier) with an holga and in black and white, but by now I am making rough drafts with Fed1 and Fed5B that are splendid cameras also. Thank you for the kind comment on double with Vici!

@jean_louis_pujol: you´re probably right on the light with the makro. on top kleeblatt told me that using a makro-lens the setting og the holga has to be on ∞ not on close-up. and btw: i was in montpellier several times quite some years ago - early to mid 90s. i really like your city. would love to go back there again. i guess the city has changed a lot. et je me rapelle d´un club/concert location dans un theatre ou cinema. et samedi les "washington deadcats" sont à montpellier.
