1997 was een jaar van gemengde gebeurtenissen. Sommigen waren geweldig, andere tragisch - maar alles was onvergetelijk. Wie zou de scène kunnen vergeten waar Jack en Rose op de ijzige wateren drijven op een stuk puin van de Titanic (de film was de grote winnaar op de Academy Awards in 1998 door in 11 categorieën te winnen.) Mensen rouwden om het overlijden van prinses Diana door een afschuwelijke auto crash - tranen werden vergoten. Ook waren radiostations op de hoogte van de muziek van Hanson en hun chart-topping hitje "MMMBop".
Alhoewel deze allemaal als 'throwback memories' beschouwd kunnen worden, kunnen we het gevoel van goede tijden die 1997 ons brachten, niet vergeten. Hetzelfde geldt met foto's die onze lieve Lomographers hebben gedeeld met ons! Deze foto's zijn gewoon vol leven. Het plezier dat we in dat jaar hebben gehad, waren zoals de gebeurtenissen die we gezien hebben: onvergetelijk.
