You never know what you’re going to get, when photographing sunsets and this is why I find then so fascinating. Some time I go out, set up and nothing happens but if I'm lucky, sometimes this happens. I drove to an area of the Swan River Known as Point Walter. At first I thought it was going to be one of those days when the sun disappears behind a bank of cloud in a complete non-event. Then it all started to get very pink! To the point when I decided not to use a pink graduated filter as it made to sky look unrealistic. Instead I used a blue filter to add contrast, so the pink you see in these images is actually toned down. It turned out to be a surreal experience, as illustrated by the picture of someone taking a picture of the same sunset.
