   this shot is why provia 400x is cool. darks go red and greens come out of everywhere. personally i think provia 400f is really where it's at. this photo wins

   I haven't tried 400f.
   yeah some shots turned out to be pretty good but still there is another reason for 400x' lameness. in my hometown it's not cheap( I mean it's not as cheap as 100f is, for instance. But unfortunately there is only one store and I bought all provia 100f and velvia 100 there and the only option of slide film was 400x.
