Infrared portraits and nature

I am finally getting the hang of using this film.
The shots that look really grainy were made at 1/4 and at f5.6. bad combination.
I had better results shooting at 1/2 or 1 and using the f16 apperture.
Isnt it crazy that his sunglasses look transparent? And yeah, I look like a GHOST in IR!!!
I am really happy with the results but I still have a lot to learn about IR photography. (and I definetely need a more supportive tripod -I use a small gorillapod-).

which filter did you use? If you use the high-speed (+high cost) Kodak HIE, then you won't need a tripod :)

@ihave2pillows I used a deep red infrared filter I got on ebay. You cant really see anything through it.
I know that sfx 200 is not really the best IR deal but at least it`s not crazily expensive like Kodak HIE :(

@peropero Cool. I still love the Ilford SFX 200 though. Very fine grain : )
