Sloss Furnaces is now a museum in Birmingham, Alabama. The city of Birmingham was created shortly after the U.S. Civil War to facilitate iron making. At that time, steel was not being produced industrially. The Birmingham area has ample supplies of iron ore, coal and limestone, the three ingredients used to make iron. Sloss Furnaces ceased operation in the early Seventies when new pollution laws made operation uneconomical. The facility was donated to the city, and is the only early facility of its kind in Birmingham that has been preserved.

    shared by neja on 2012-01-18

I have been here so many times before, but I never get tired of seeing Calatrava's creations and taking pictures of it. That was my 1st ever try of Lomography CN 800 ISO film and I couldn't be more happy with it. Since this marvelous sunset above the City of Arts and Science, shooting during the golden hour of photography became a habit.

The Ahu is a old sanctuary with a collection of aligned Moais. Akivi is a very beautiful one and has the particularity to be the only place of the island where the Moais are looking towards the sea, when all others are looking towards the inside of the island

Some additional photos of New York City I took on spring break. I love the dramatic black and white Rollei Retro gives. It really seemed like the right feel for the 9/11 memorial.

  • Small Island, Huge Moment ║ MiniMovie Reflected…

    shared by istionojr on 2011-01-29

Tidung Island, a really small island. Staying for 4D/3N is enough to recognise all about the island ; diving spot, 'love bridge', and seaside seafood restaurant. ║ Stand stand still Lomowall : http://www.lomography.com/homes/istionojr/walls/64262-rob-bredl ║ *Favourite: The emotion of the person reflected willing to conquer far away from the ocean whatever he'll found. The body language tells he is ready to go anytime as the advanture hat already accompany him. It's all captured on silhouete that made this photo had lots of interpretation.

On a trip planned for several months and with inspirational landscapes as help a spontaneous idea comes up and the result looks like an underwater reflection. This is one of my favourite photos since I’m passionate about tulips and because of its dreamlike look.

I pulled the LC-A+ RL setting to 400ISO, because it was sunny but the result came out a bit under. - This film remind and reduce the sense of missed about old XPRO 100 that came out blueish when you crossprocess it. Love it!

Why this is my favorite lomograph? Because when I shot this I do that "Don't Think Just Shoot" Action! He was posing for somebody else then I just shot him with my LC-A+ then BOOM!
