  • the big sneaker spaghetti puke! i had this on my…

    shared by bloomchen on 2014-01-23

… in a different location. i had this special idea how the surrounding of this shot had to look like but in two years time i did not find anybody who had the perfect loction at home of which i thought. so now finally i shot it in a different spot. if someday i will find anyone with the fitting location to shoot what i had on my mind i willl surely re-shoot this again. sadly i forgot that this roll of film must be of the same batch of expired fujichrome i shot last year in november in spain (http://www.lomography.com/homes/bloomchen/albums/1992983-porro-open-2013-edition-16) with its weird colourshifts. the colours here are good i think but i tried my very best to get non-grainy shots but this was not possible with only using different scanner settings and not working it over in PS. ah and btw: i am still not sure if this shot with its perfect surrounding poped in my mind during a dream or if i saw it once. no kidding! i mean i finished my studies at the university on sneakers - so i am the first german with a sneaker diploma - and therefore i saw thousands of sneaker pics but going through the web and my mags and books i did not find this spaghetti pic and i was really thinking i have the idea from a pic i saw somewhere someday in the past.

I was pleasantly surprised when I scanned what looked like an unpromising roll with lots of slightly overlapped images. The vivid, saturated colors and the red light leaks are so much fun. I had a spare example of this little gem which I sent to Kat recently so hopefully she will grace us with another roll from this camera this spring....the Kandor Candid is a classic toy camera and was clearly the direct inspiration behind Lomography's La Sardina. The brass La Sardina and this all metal vintage piece weigh about the same, quite heavy. The shutter on the Candid is fantastic feeling, very firm clunk when you trip it.

    shared by maduz on 2013-01-08

Daiyan Trisha A 19 years old local Malaysian girl. She has a big talent in singing and playing guitar. You can check her YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/daiyantrisha?feature=chclk We came about this photoshoot in just a random message that I'd sent to her. And I was excited when she agreed on doing it. The photoshoot was supposed to be during daylight. But it was delayed due to unpredictable circumstances. Nevertheless, we still had fun and we managed to get some nice shots.

From ”filmsoup-swap” project with my favorite photographer fotobes. About this photo I shot first in Japan, and then he started shooting in UK. After finishing the roll he ”cooked” the film. On completing the roll, he mixed together some boiled water with silica gel and washing detergent, and left it to cool a little. Then he went into his make-shift darkroom and pulled out the film from the canister. Next he flicked and dabbed the ”soup” onto the exposed film. He waited for a few minutes and then rewound the film into the canister. Afterwards he went to the kitchen and dropped the film into just-boiled water, and after 5 minutes I transferred it into cold water for a minute. Then back in the darkroom he pulled the film out from the canister again and dried it with a hairdryer, and when done he rewound the film. The film was then developed at Asda, and scanned at The Vault in Brighton. We don’t discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise. Check out fotobes’s album from the same project. http://www.lomography.com/homes/fotobes/albums/1995715-lc-a-plus-film-soup-swap-with-hodachrome
