Nestled on the northern tip of Boracay island is a vast resort-free space that is truly what an image of a tropical sanctuary. Characterized by the long stretch of white sand, azure water, blue skies on a sunny cloudless day and peace and quiet except for the sounds of rough waters, this side of the island is a must-see. The name of the beach is derived from the puka shells that abound in the area. Puka Beach promises freedom from the hustle and bustle of the main white beach of Boracay but nothing short of a picnic/beach camp paradise. There are some ambulant vendors walking along the beach to offer some cold drinks, ice-cream, pearls and other treasures of the sea. To go there, either you take land trip via tricycle from the town proper or ride the sailboat or banca.
