This has been a long time coming...
shared by blueskyandhardrock on 2013-02-07When I was in high school, I found this poem by Christina Rossetti called "Remember". It's about losing a loved one. It spoke to me so much that it became one of my three favorite poems (the other two are by Shakespeare and Neruda). When I started doing Lomography a few years back, I wanted to do a series inspired by this poem. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to. Then less than two years ago, I got my heart broken so badly and this poem helped me through that rough time. The wound has long healed and I finally have the courage talk about moving on through my photos. So I packed my Belair and my amazing tripod and set off to Malibu - to shoot a series inspired by both the poem and my heartbreak. Of course, the results aren't as good as they would have been had I used my Mamiya but I'm still happy, if only because I finally got to do this series and because it's a labor of love. My boyfriend and I got up at 5 am to drive all the way to Malibu for this series. My hands and feet were freezing the entire shoot AND we got a parking ticket for it so I really really hope people will enjoy the photos, even if they're not amazing quality.

Day on the Galactic Railroad
shared by hodachrome on 2012-10-11After shooting a roll, take it into a dark room and open the film. Then sprinkle hot water filled with baking soda all around on the film, with flicking my fingers. Rewind it and put into a pan and pour water, and boiled it for about 5 minutes. Rinse and dry, and cross-deveop it. Done!

Community LomoAmigo hodachrome and his Faithful Lomo LC-A+
written by kyonn on 2012-09-11 #peopleBy now you've all come across community Member, and LC-A star, hodachrome, or at least seen his surreal multiple exposure photos. Dolphins cursing through the sky, "Inceptional" views, and ferris wheels that look so grand and magnificent that you forget their function and treat them as a monument built for the God of photography. Let hodachrome tell you how to get the film deity to smile upon you!

Ilford Pan F 50 120: Perfect for Long Exposures!
written by sirio174 on 2012-11-30 #gearA recent experience using an Ilford PanF 50 film roll into my Lubitel 166U, taking some photographs of interiors in natural light. The great contrast of this film allows me to obtain nice greytones even in conditions of low light.

Lomowalk along the beach
shared by paperplanepilot on 2011-02-03Since I was the only one who had a lomo camera in the group, I did the lomowalk alone. An hour before we left for the airport, I took one last stroll along the beach. LESSON LEARNED: the beach can over expose an ISO 100 film
