I realised, my lubitel lens where damaged (out of focus) in the first picture. I managed to solve the problem and continue the roll. I think I'm understading it more and more everyday

While in SEA I sometimes had the feeling some emulsions get sticky because of the humid climate. Especialy the very thin filmlayer of my Maco Eagle seemed to have problems. In the final results exist some dark stains to testament that. But I like the manipulation. maybe there is a higher spirit visible in the landscape, something one cannot grasp with his eyes...

This is one on my favorite photos. It was taken in Camden Town (London) when my friends came to visit me. I like it because it was a surprise. I didn't know I had taken a photo of the wall already (it was a mistake probably) but I love the result. My friend Rebeca looks like a graffitty painted in the wall

What an adventure we had in Page, AZ. First, our hotel reservation was lost then our first night at camp was super windy that our tent collapsed and then we got stuck near Vegas going back because of all the Californians going back from their Easter break. But I would do it all over again if it meant experiencing the stunning landscapes of Page one more time. Check out my article about it here http://indietravel.net/explore-the-golden-red-slots-of-antelope-canyon-arizona/.

Yesterday, I went to the beach to shoot some of my doubles, which have been piling up for some time now. As it turns out, our timing was perfect! Although we always have blue skies, we don't get a lot of clouds in Los Angeles for some reason. But yesterday, the sunset was decorated with the most dramatic clouds! It was a perfect way to end the day. // Check out my new entry on my travel blog: http://anotherspur.wordpress.com/2013/09/08/staying-put/

  • Both sides of the daily life

    shared by hodachrome on 2012-06-27

Exposing both sides of the film (EBS). I shot on correct(normal) side first in a sunny/bright day, at ISO400(ISO800 film inside). Below half of the lense was masked with a splitzer. After finished a roll, reverse the film (in a dark-room). Then start shooting on redscale side in a cloudy/rainy day, at ISO200. Upper half was masked with a splitzer. The order of each location is precisely the same as 1st shots. I took notes in details about locations and shot all places with iPhone, to remember locations. Need patience, concentration, and accuracy for this challenge. Plus must be careful with 'gaps' between frames. Have a look at my article about this technique: http://www.lomography.com/magazine/tipster/2013/01/14/tipster-how-to-take-symmetrical-images-with-exposing-both-sides-of-the-film-ebs

the roll i bought was obviously bad stored. pretty grainy and strange colourshifts. just like my 135mm rsx200 and sensia 100 not really what would have expected. it´s pretty annoying to get such results. but i have to admit that some shots do look pretty good anyway.

On film photography day, I decided to shoot my office-mates with all my cameras, on the terrace of my office. On 12th April morning, I loaded the Canon with my expired Sensia, which has always given me great results and had a fun time with the ladies. I got it developed with E-6 for the first time and then look at the results !!! I was so shocked !!! I never expected this, but absolutely loved the cool, sepia style, vintagey effect !! On Film photography day, the film decided to play its greatest trick on me: Unexpected results :D

When the electronic duo White Birches visited Umeå, even called "the city of birches", earlier this year, I had to meet up and shoot some frames. (note: The singer Jenny Gabrielsson Mare also sang at our wedding and we have shot some rolls a couple of times before. You can find them in my previous albums.)

I've been in bed the last 2 weeks because a medical condition that appeared from nowhere. Being in bed for so long makes you see things in a different way, you change your perspective and your priorities. You can get a bit depressed too (I won't deny it) but if you keep having dreams and ideas (and if you keep visiting your doctor!) everything becomes a little easier. So here you can see what's been in my mind this time, what kept depression away: SPRING IS HERE, so there are a lot of flowers in my garden; TAKING PICS, DEVELOP SOME ROLLS, MUSIC, MY SWEET CHIARA, who has been a huge support, THE IDEA OF GOING TO THE RIVER...

From ”filmsoup-swap” project with my favorite photographer fotobes. About this photo I shot first in Japan, and then he started shooting in UK. After finishing the roll he ”cooked” the film. On completing the roll, he mixed together some boiled water with silica gel and washing detergent, and left it to cool a little. Then he went into his make-shift darkroom and pulled out the film from the canister. Next he flicked and dabbed the ”soup” onto the exposed film. He waited for a few minutes and then rewound the film into the canister. Afterwards he went to the kitchen and dropped the film into just-boiled water, and after 5 minutes I transferred it into cold water for a minute. Then back in the darkroom he pulled the film out from the canister again and dried it with a hairdryer, and when done he rewound the film. The film was then developed at Asda, and scanned at The Vault in Brighton. We don’t discuss what we have each taken photographs of, so the results are always a surprise. Check out fotobes’s album from the same project. http://www.lomography.com/homes/fotobes/albums/1995715-lc-a-plus-film-soup-swap-with-hodachrome

Some more Aerochromes from our holiday in Thailand. Yellow, Orange and Red filters and some unusual weather leading to some random colours. Those with a distinct yellow shift were from the red filter and those with the most blue sky were from the yellow. Those from the orange filter were somewhere in between.
