Pollution

How does pollution affect your way of life and those around you?

Through your photographs, document the harmful effects that pollution brings to our environment. Raise your cameras in protest and take this challenge as a wake-up call to climate change naysayers. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Hard Truths: Glaciers are melting at an alarming rate. Islands of plastic floating its way to the ocean. Smog all over urban areas continues to suffocate. How does this impact your daily life and the animals and plants whom you share this world with?
  • Unapparent Forms: Pay attention to seemingly ordinary instances that disrupt the ecosystem. For instance, overly illuminating your house at night is considered a form of light pollution, which can be detrimental to one's health and affects the behavior of nocturnal animals. Noise pollution coming from machinery and transportation can have a negative impact on the well-being of people and wildlife, too.

Each participant may submit up to 10 photographs. Five winners will get a voucher worth 50 EUR/USD for our Online Shop. This competition serves as the qualifying round for the Climate Change category of our TEN AND ONE Annual Lomography Photo Awards 2019.
