On your next photo shoot, mimic the technique favored by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio and apply the principle of chiaroscuro on your portraiture.
Chiaroscuro, an Italian term which means light-dark, is a visual style that lets one play with light and shadows to create compelling photographs. For this challenge, we're looking for portraits that creatively incorporate this lighting technique. Make the most of ambient light or set up a Rembrandt Lighting inside a studio.
Each participant can submit up to 10 photographs. This competition, which serves as the qualifying round for the Human Stories category, is open to all.
