Creating a Word Mask
written by veato on 2011-08-30 #gear #tutorialsI have seen previous tipsters where masks are made to create a silhouette on the on the resulting photo. This gave me an idea to create a mask with a word to appear on each frame. This was very much a first attempt and not perfect but using the following guide you can do the same.

Kodak Ultramax 400
written by veato on 2011-06-18 #gearSeeing Ultramax as something of a consumer grade film I left it alone in favor of rarer and more expensive film to play with. Secondhand Love Affair: The Silvi
written by veato on 2012-02-22I can spend hours searching eBay and second hand stores for camera bargains but more often than not I don't find anything to my liking or at the right price. Once in a while a search comes up trumps though with a little bargain.

Fuji Natura 1600 35mm
written by veato on 2011-09-07 #gearEven without a Natura Classica camera to pair it to the NP mode I still wanted to try out some Fujifilm Natura 1600. It wasn't easy to get hold of and it wasn't cheap either but it's quite a unique film and one I just had to try. This is what I made of it.

Kodak T-Max 400 35mm Versus the Competition
written by veato on 2012-05-15 #gear #peopleBack in May 2011 I reviewed Kodak T-Max 400 and praised its qualities with barely a bad word to say. I thought it would be interesting now to do a retrospective review and compare it to some other black and white film I've since had the chance to use.
