Ambrose Lake

I should tell the story of this shot. Ambrose Lake is quite secluded and part of a protected ecological reserve. Logging has occurred along the trail at several points and hydro lines cross the trail as well. The last ten minutes of the walk, however, are through a second growth temperate rainforest. Suddenly the lake appears before you. I stood and marvelled at the silence and stillness for a good ten minutes, then found a small pebble and tossed it as far as it would go. I waited for the ripples to spread and snapped the shot. It was magical at the time and still is in viewing it again.
