Finally, here we are at Wellington! This was our last stop in New Zealand, and is the capital of this country. Even if it's not the biggest city of the country, it's the political capital and also known as the heart of the cultural and artistic life of New Zealand

The end of apartheid is one of the most significant events in African history, at least in the past decade. And there is one site that symbolizes the return to freedom as no other: Robben Island.

    Cathedral de Sacré Coeur

This is one site - that is, as far as I know, not mentioned in any travel book - but for me it is a very astonishing place: The Cathedral de Sacré Coeur in Oran (Algeria). During the French occupation in Algeria the authorities turned the Islamic state bit by bit into a Christian copy of France.

    Stalin-Park Tirana

Well, I thought Stalin is gone for good, but I found out that it's not the case in peculiar Albania. Behind the Academy of Fine Hearts, ...oops sorry, Fine Arts, he still lingers around and enjoys his dictator-pension ship. And I have to say, I am quite glad about it: Because, where can you see the grumpy Georgian nowadays? I mean, the impressive Mustache-Man died 1953 and still everyone talks about him and even more so countries follow his policies. As the Russians took over his birth town Gori in Georgia very recently, they just probably wanted to put some flowers to his feet. Because Gori is the only other place where Stalin is still hot, besides Tirana.

    Godzilla (Tokyo)

One of the great heroes of mine surely is Godzilla. The big fellow from the seaside, who was created through atomic pollution by American evildoers in Japan. Hence Japan was bombed by A-bombs the whole multitude of nuclear pollution was a very relevant dramatic element. The character was created in 1950s and was instantly a major success in the Japanese Cinema. This is grand B-Movie-History. Up to date there have been 28 movies made and the next big thing lingers around the corner. Rumors say, that there will be another epic Japanese G-Film soon.
