Misschien is het een cliché, Parijs als de stad van de liefde. Maar in elk cliché schuilt een zekere waarheid. En in het geval van Parijs is het zeker waar! Je voelt de liefde en ik denk dat dat door het licht komt. Zelfs als je niet verliefd bent, kan Parijs je liefde geven!

Een restaurant op misschien wel de aller vetste locatie ooit. We waren nog maar een paar uur in Parijs en hongerig op zoek naar een plek om te eten. Het moest dichtbij het Louvre zijn en er moest Pomerol wijn zijn, dat stond vast. Ik wist eigenlijk niet waarom we per se die wijn moesten hebben, maar mijn reisgenoten konden blijkbaar niet zonder.

Slechts 1 middag in Parijs - daar moest ik het mee doen. Als een malle ben ik van start gegaan in een race tegen de klok met een stedelijke fotowandeling. Ik heb als een kip zonder kop in het wilde weg geschoten en nadien was ik verrast van mijn eigen resultaten!

In augustus 2011 zijn mijn vriend en ik Parijs en alles wat die stad te bieden heeft gaan verkennen. Ik heb in totaal zeven camera's meegenomen, waaronder mijn favoriete Fuji Instax Mini. Die heeft Parijs prachtig vastgelegd.

Als je Parijs zegt, zeg je de Eiffeltoren. Tref je het monument net als ik tijdens een regenbui? Geen zorgen! Zorg dat je zwart/wit film bij je hebt en fotografeer er op los. Wie weet heb je geluk en kun je mooie weerspiegelingen vastleggen.

Neem haar mee naar de Eiffeltoren, de belichaming van de romantiek.

Een van de meest productieve straatkunstenaars in Parijs is Space Invader.

Parijs is zeker en vast één van mijn favoriete plekjes om te bezoeken. Er is ontzettend veel te zien, zowel door de typische monumenten en attracties te bezichtigen als door gewoon door de gezellige straatjes te kuieren.

Je hoeft niet ver te lopen in Parijs of je stoot je tenen al tegen een stukje kunst. Dit is mijn tweede trip naar de Franse hoofdstad en helaas was het een zeer kort bezoekje. Ik had 1 middag om alles te zien voordat ik mijn vlucht (van 13 uur) terug zou nemen.

Petite Ceinture is an abandoned railway inside Paris that goes all around the city. It is closed to the public and sometimes hardly accessible so you normally cannot go there but there is such a crazy ambiance there that so very few people know about.

Only one day in Paris and what did we see? The Sacré Coeur is my first stop in our whirlwind tour of the beautiful city of Paris. As I came in from the Eurostar at the Gard du Nord it was the closest site so off we went.

Part of a day trip to Paris included many sites to see so as part of a walking tour we also did Pigalle in order to see the famous Moulin Rouge! If you are familiar with Baz Lurhman's film of the same name it will give you a feel for the area.

I refuse to submit to the idea that Paris is a cliché. I marvel at the same picture of the Eiffel tower everybody takes from the same exact spot. I love to remember walking through modern streets and suddenly encountering a block full of very old buildings or a very old church.

These happened when I was in Paris: been forced out from a hostel, lost in translation, went to a Chinatown that was not so Chinese, witnessed people peeing on the sidewalk, and sleeping on a boat in the middle of a tour through the river. In spite all of that, everything was great overall because I spent my trip with my best friends and the city was amazingly beautiful.
