@sierravictor Thanks! This one worked out quite nice, a bit wider wouldn't hurt either but I only travel with one lens when I go hiking and all the other elements worked well:)

@lomodesbro Love winter in Switzerland, the craziest blue/turquoise/periwinkle shades

@marcomaestro Thanks! I wish it would be for Nat Geo! As you can see it's not very popular picture yet, it's sad because I really like it personally;)

Gorgeous shot! I get a painter vibe from the composition and colors. Great stuff!

@thatsweston Thanks! That's what I love about large format, taking your time to put everything in place and really reflect on the scene beforehand

Beautiful photo! Dunno if having it up here would do it true justice, but even so, it's stunning. Ektar would have to be my favourite medium format film (though I'm happy to try out others in said format)

@lizkoppert Thanks for your kind words. Yes, this will also be on a wall, I made two large prints and they look lovely. Ektar is just pretty much a perfect film, forgiving, high latitude, beautiful color rendition. I only use anything else than Ektar when I want to have a certain special look. If I just want a beautiful picture, then there's no reason not to use Ektar imo

@montagu, you're welcome :) I certainly agree with you on using Ektar. Would like to get some Velvia 50 to throw into my Lubitel 2 at least (if not others too), just for a comparison.

@lizkoppert Velvia 50, another classic, but very very different. In my experience only to be used when there is a lot of light, or when you really want extreme contrast. It's hard as it needs to be measured to perfection for really good results, any over/under-exposure can become quickly too much for my taste

@montagu, yup. I know it probably wont be to your taste, but I'd like to see what it comes out like cross-processed. The photo labs here in Blenheim have to send film away to be processed anyway ("long" story as to why), and am unsure if the lab the films usually go to can do E-6. Someone wants to learn how to home develop B/W, C-41 & E-6

@lizkoppert If it's a lab, they should most definitely be able to do E-6... But of course cross-process can be lots of fun! C-41 and E-6 are very similar, E-6 actually only has one step more, the First Developer, furthermore needs to be rinsed throughout each step unlike C-41. Apart from that it's very easy. With a Tetenal Kit everyone can do it. And B/W is even easier, only a couple of steps, at low room temperature with big margins of error

@montagu, like I said, "long story". I can't get films processed locally; they need to send to Christchurch as the machinery owned by both labs need parts to do so (so, no 1 hr processing). And as I understand, those parts aren't available. If I want E-6, they have to go to Auckland... $50 freight (before anything else). About $22 for C-41 all up (give or take). As you say, cross-process can be lots of fun... and when you're on a Government funded benefit, also cheaper! That said, home processing would be even cheaper.... AND fun.
