Happenings on Film: Bandung Lautan Photographer

It named Bandung Lautan Photographer refers to the quantity of the photosnaper and the model which totally more than a hundred. Lautan means the ocean, it’s a parody from heroic event called “Bandung Lautan Api”. This event started last year but last year it was held at Dago car free day and ended at Taman Ganesha. I only snap the model at Dago car free day.

But this year is much more better because it located at the landmark that normally can not entered at the usual day, nor at weekend because it’s an office of the governor & house of the representative of Jawa Barat (West Java).

Also this year I’m not alone so I have an extra braveness to shoot the beautiful girl since I’m a very shy boring and anti-social person. Together with @ekeupratama and @vespa66 we were the only photosnaper who were using an analogue camera. Even some of the guy ask me if my Lubitel 166+ camera are still work? Because he have a rollei camera at his office as a properties for shoot pre-wedding for his client.

Set the aperture at 8 and shutter speed at 1/125 I’m very worried with the result because from my experience using aperture 8 with Horizon Perfekt camera it will make the bright light part of the photo become blurry and the shadowing area become underexposure, but thanks God it’s not happen at Lubitel 166+.

The photo session are arrange innitiatively by the community photo who ask the model to pose at the place that they want. Most of them are very bossy and even angry at the model just to ask the model to be more expressive and showing her best smile. It’s so no no for me, fuck you so called pro photographer hahaha. So me @ekeupratama and @vespa66 are looking the model which are not too much snapped by a lot of photosnapper.

Finally we get some of pretty girl with a good environment as a background of the photo shoot.

Eventhough I’m not an automotive enthusiast but I’m really interested to snap the model who posed at the motorcycle.

We were very excited at this event because Bandung Lomo Gank are always failed searching the model to learn fashion lomography snap. Even the model who ask for get paid. It’s quite debating should we searching model who will get paid or just shoot some of our beautiful friend without pay her. Hahaha it’s such a daily lomowalk conversation because everytime we did a lomowalk there are a pretty girl everywhere which we want to snap them very bad hahaha. And at this event we can snap a lot of model for free.

Communication. That’s the key to get a good result when shoot a model. Unfortunately I’m still lack of communicating with the model. Haha it’s just an awkward feeling that I have because I never ask when snap some object. But I’ll try at the next session, I’m still learning.
