Formerly Newcastle upon Tyne Borough Lunatic Asylum

Opened in July 1869, renamed in 1948 to St Nicholas Hospital. I've photographed this many times, it catches the light really nicely, and it always looks amazing and desirable now, but I'm sure, like most asylums it has a fair share of horror stories from the past.
