Lomography Awards: Game Changers: From Downstairs

Before rushing up, take a minute to appreciate how staircases can double as a hypnotic photo subject.

The next time you're in a high-rise building, skip the elevators and make a bee line to the stairs. For this competition, we're challenging you to look up and focus your gaze on how these unassuming structure can be use to frame the world. Add a pop of unusual color for a sci-fi atmosphere. Stick to the classic formula and highlight the well-decorated ceiling or the deep blue sky.

Each participant can submit up to 10 photographs. This competition, which serves as the qualifying round for the Game Changers category, is open to all.
